Cardinal League Branding Package

Earlier this year I was hired by Cardinal League to flush out a complete league brand design package. This project included the main logomark system of the League itself and the 8 Football teams in the league as well. Cardinal League serves as the top source for simulation sports entertainment. Whether participants want to get involved in managing, coaching or playing for a football team, Cardinal League provides the resources and network for those that don't have the means, resources or physical capabilities to do so.

Cardinal League serves as the top source for simulation sports entertainment. Whether participants want to get involved in managing, coaching or playing for a football team, Cardinal League provides the resources and network for those that don't have the means, resources or physical capabilities to do so.

The name Cardinal League came about when we were discussing the naming convention of the Premier League. We explored some variations and decided on Cardinal because of its definition “of the greatest importance; fundamental.” We want to be the top destination for players looking to get involved in simulation sports.

The name was purposefully chosen with some vagueness as we would like it to lend itself to future expansion. Cardinal League Football, Cardinal League Soccer, Cardinal League Basketball can all be integrated while keeping the base of the Cardinal League brand.
